EM95X Android TV Box
EM95X Android TV Box
The EM95X Android TV Box
The EM95x Android TV Box can be described as an improved MXQ, the MXQ made a big hit when it was launched and was 2014’s best seller, the MXQ Pro was then released in late 2016 with some added features. The EM95x looks almost identical to the MX2 or MXQ, some key differences are the power button and front facing LCD display.
The EM95x Android TV Box is the first in it’s class to offer users a front facing back lit lcd screen, the screen indicates the time and other information related to the units operation.
You get the same number of USB ports and all the same connectors, the EM95x and the MXQ weigh the same and the plastics used are of exactly the same composition.
So why is Epic TV referring to the EM95X as an awesome budget box you might be asking…. well its simple,
The designers and engineers focused on what’s really important, they didn’t bother with massive amounts of storage or features hardly ever used, these are all costly components which in reality most Android box users don’t ever use or need.
For an Android TV Box to run well it needs to be able to cope with the requirements as set by the applications its running, most of us users would want Kodi, and some other APP’s similar to Kodi to run well, in order for a program or App such as Kodi to run stable during a movie you need to have a good video encoding system and a good Graphical processing unit, this was one of the biggest issues with earlier Android TV Box’s, The EM95x uses H265 which is the latest and most advanced video encoding system to date on such devices. H265 is also used on the M8S and Super Epic Android TV Box’s, both top of the range devices which cost significantly more to produce than the EM95x.
Android lollipop was the preferred choice on the EM95x, a big leap forward from the Jelly Bean version used on the MX2 and some other early units, the user interface is simple to follow and uses a Windows style layout.
Leaving out expensive components which a user almost never needs is the key to keeping the cost down on these units, The EM95x is able to run the latest version of Kodi flawlessly, it even is able to handle IPTV systems with ease, this is all thanks to the H265 technology being used.
The EM95x Android tv box is the preferred choice with IPTV users who wish to have an Android operating system rather than a Linux O/S from the Mag series of IPTV set top box’s, this allows users to have Kodi and similar Apps running at the same time as an IPTV system without the limitations of Linux.
So should you purchase an EM95x?
If you want a box which is fit for purpose, which means it can handle Kodi and other similar apps with ease and your not fussed about having the top of the range or the very latest unit, than this box is key, it will give you all the benefits of an Android TV Box for a fraction of the price, perfect gift idea, not too expensive and not too cheap either.
